The classes in this phlebotomy training program are Medical Terminology, Phlebotomy Techniques, and Phlebotomy Techniques Practicum. In the practice class, students will gain hands-on knowledge of how to draw blood and process specimens of fellow students and volunteers.

The KCC phlebotomy training course has been approved by the American Society of Pathology to meet the requirements of phlebotomy certification. New phlebotomists (a.k.a. those who pass the certification exam) are capable of working in reputable medical facilities, outpatient care centers, blood banks, nursing homes, and hospitals.

The BHC Phlebotomy Training Course is comprised of ten Friday classes, spread across May through July. These classes consist of basic phlebotomy knowledge in classroom lectures, as well as hands-on experience in lab studies. Students are provided with the beginner skills and entry-level knowledge needed to prepare for the national phlebotomy certification exam.
