Students attending the Phlebotomy Technician Certificate Program at JCCC will participate in 150 hours of combined lab studies, hands-on clinical practice, and in-class lectures.

Before earning the official title of phlebotomist, students must pass the national phlebotomy certification exam, arranged and approved by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. This extensive exam is included at the end of this phlebotomy training course. Beforehand, there is a 4-hour refresher and preparation class to prepare program graduates for the exam.
